HP announces new Pavilion x360 convertible PC, new business tablets

HP announces a few new devices including the new HP Pavilion x360 convertible as well as HP ElitePad 1000 and HP ProPad 600 business tablets. The HP Pavilion x360 is convertible PC with touch that has a special 360-degree hinge that converts the PC into several modes: notebook mode, stand or tent mode, or tablet mode. You can see the Pavilion x360 in all those modes in the above photo. You can use it comfortably almost anywhere like at a desk or relaxing on the couch. It weighs a little over 3 pounds, comes with a beautiful 11.6-inch diagonal HD SVA display with 10-point capacitive multitouch and Intel Pentium processor, and comes in two colors: Brilliant Red and Smoke Silver. It also comes with Beats Audio (dual speakers) for great audio. And it also has mobile broadband capabilities too (HP’s DataPass service). The HP Pavilion x360 is expected to be available in the Brilliant Red color in the on Feb. 26th for a starting price of $399.99 in the U.S.

HP has also given the HP ElitePad 1000 an upgrade. It now comes with a direct-bonded 10.1-inch diagonal WUXGA multitouch display that is outdoor viewable with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It also now comes with 4G mobile broadband capabilities. The ElitePad 1000 is HP’s thinnest tablet ever at just 9.2 mm thin and weighing only 1.5 pounds. The updated HP ElitePad 1000 is expected to be available in March for a starting price of $739 (U.S.).

The new HP ProPad is built for businesses who need mobility and all-day battery life. It comes with the latest Intel Atom Quad-Core Processor, a 10-inch high-res WUXGA display wih Corning Gorilla Glass, up to 64GB of storage with a microSD expansion slot for 32GB or more additional storage space. It also has a built-in micro-HDMI to connect to an external display but you can wirelessly display via Miracast as well. The HP ProPad is expected to be available in April.

Today HP unveiled the EliteBook Revolve. The EliteBook Revolve is of course optimized for Windows 8 with a very slick design and some impressive specs:

  • The latest, third-generation Intel Core processors.
  • An 11.6-inch diagonal HD display packed into a 3.04 lb. design.
  • Constructed with durable, scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 2 and has an all-magnesium chassis.
  • It has USB 3.0, DisplayPort and secure NFC.
  • It comes with a 720p HD4 camera and dual-microphone array.
  • Solid-state drive (SSD) options up to 256 GB with Intel Rapid Start Technology.
  • And it has a full-sized, backlit keyboard and can come with an optional pen for handwriting.

The HP EliteBook Revolve is expected to be available in theU.S.in March 2013 and HP will announce pricing information closer to the date of availability so look for that from them early next year.

Snapfish by HP today announced “Prints on the Go,” a new feature on the Snapfish iPhone app that enables users to order prints directly from their iPhone and pick up their order at select retail locations. Users can now easily place an order to print their photos from their Snapfish app for iPhone. All they need to do is log in to their Snapfish account or create a new one, place their print order and pay upon pickup at retail locations including Walmart and Walgreens. Using location-based technology, the app automatically detects the nearest participating retail locations where users can pick up their 4-inch x 6-inch or 5-inch x 7-inch prints on the same day. The upgraded Snapfish iPhone app also makes it easier to browse and organize photos within an account.
