Skype has just announced the release of a new version of their application designed for handsets running under Google’s Android operating system, namely Skype 2.0. The new flavor of the mobile application comes with enhancements like Video calling and support for sending SMS messages, and was already made available for download via the Android Market.

Two new handsets from Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion are on their way to the Canadian market on the airwaves of wireless carrier TELUS, some of the latest reports around the Internet suggest.

Apparently, the newly launched BlackBerry Bold Touch 9900 and the BlackBerry 9860 smartphones are those set to land at the wireless carrier in the near future. Verizon Wireless have just announced that the new 4G LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is now available to pre order, and prices start at $529.99 for the 16GB model and $629.99 for the 32GB version, this is subkject two a new two year mobile broadband contract. With 4G LTE in tow, user will be able to surf the web without having to depend on a Wi-Fi hotspot. Apart from the additional connectivity option, Galaxy Tab 10.1 is similar to the Wi-Fi-only variant with 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor on board, 1GB RAM, Bluetooth 2.1, 3MP and 2MP camera, 720p HD video recording, 16 or 32GB internal memory and 7,000mAh battery giving up to 10 hours.
