HTC Launches Trio Of Desire ICS-Powered Phones In China

MWC brought the One series with the One X, One S and One V but the Taiwanese phone maker is not resting. They’re introducing a trio of Ice Cream Sandwich-powered devices to China, the world’s largest mobile market.

The phones — HTC VT T328t, HTC VC T328d, and HTC V T328w — are part of the Desire family and they will land on three different carriers. The HTC VT T328t (above) packs a four-inch S-LCD display with WVGA resolution, 1GHz single cores processor, five-megapixel main camera, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, microSD card support, Beats support and Sense 4.0.

China Telecom will carry the HTC VC T328d and China Unicom the HTC V T328w. They are both similar on the inside with some differences on the outside and have the same specs as the VT 328t above, except for the fact that they’re dual SIM devices.

Android 4.0-Powered HTC Primo Leaks

Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation is planning the release of an Android 4.0-powered handset called HTC Primo, some of the latest reports around the web suggest.

This is not the first such device the company is said to have in store for us but, unlike other rumored ICS handsets, the HTC Primo is said to be an affordable device, and the leaked hardware specs for it appear to confirm that.

The yet unannounced mobile phone is reportedly set to arrive on shelves sometime in the coming months, with specs that will put it in the mainstream category.

It should feature a 3.7 inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display when released, similarly with the HTC Desire and other devices in the family. It will also feature Gorilla Glass protection.

However, the upcoming device will pack a dual-core application processor, a Qualcomm CPU clocked in at 1GHz. The specifications list of the new device, which made it online courtesy of stuff.tv, also shows 512MB of RAM.

Moreover, the HTC Primo is also expected to arrive on shelves with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, though it would still offer support for HD video recording. Apparently, the device will also be able to take photos while shooting movies, due to a dual shutter mode.

The forthcoming Android device will also feature Beats Audio technology, the same as the previously rumored HTC Edge and HTC Ville will.

The Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS on HTC Primo will be complemented by HTC’s Sense 4.0 user interface, rumor has it.

Nothing has emerged yet on the release date or pricing of this handset, but they should arrive soon, included in HRC’s mid-level range and priced accordingly.

Hopefully, we’ll see it made official next month during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, where the aforementioned Edge and Ville might also appear.
