HTC Continues Hyping February 19 Event
We’ve heard HTC’s Peter Chou talk about how the company needs to get smarter with how it advertises its smartphones, and based on the teasers it’s been releasing over the past couple weeks for its upcoming February 19 event, it just might have this buzz-building routine down. The latest isn’t quite so eye-catching as last week’s but it may just give us our first official look at HTC’s next flagship.
Like we said, this is pretty far removed from that weird “Alive Soon!” image that came out a week ago, and at first glance, it’s just parroting the already-revealed date. Take a close look at that white curve, though, with what looks like a beveled edge, and you might be staring at the top edge of the HTC One/M7.
Honestly, we’re not quite sure what to make of the name anymore, and while there’s been some evidence for the HTC One, we’ve seen Peter Chou on video shouting “M7″ over and over.
Like the phone Chou had in that video, as well as in the recent leak purporting to be the HTC One, we’re looking at another white handset here. While that render had what could be a chromed edge, we were also open to the idea of that effect simply being due to the simulated lighting, and it just might match-up with what we can see here.
We know, the wait is agonizing, but in one week from today we should finally get our answers.
